Alignment for Installers (W030) - 1 lesson
This course will introduce you to the world of alignments including the preliminary road test, inspection and set-up, right through to performing the alignment. For experienced technicians, this course will review some of the basics and introduce newer systems and procedures.

Electric Power Steering (W013) - 1 lesson
Upon completion of this course, technicians should understand more complex alignment geometry and understand how and why these angles should be adjusted. Participants will also understand common problems and how to solve them.

Magnasteer (W012) - 1 lesson
Magnasteer systems operate in a unique way. Technicians who service vehicles equipped with this system need to be aware of the safety precautions and need to know how to prevent inadvertently damaging vehicle systems.

Steering for Installers (W010) - 1 lesson
Unless you’re doing front end work every day, it’s easy to forget what to look for when inspecting steering systems. This course will review the basics and add some new information to help make your inspections and road tests as effective as possible.

Steering for Technicians (W011) - 1 lesson
Technicians who frequently service steering systems will benefit from having the most up-to-date information available on fluids, problems, repairs, etc. Even technicians who occasionally work on steering systems will benefit from understanding how to quickly and efficiently diagnose these systems.

Suspension Systems for Technicians (W021) - 3 lessons
Understanding suspensions and their common problems is essential for technicians. We’ll show you what to look for and what to do when you find a problem.

Vehicle Steering: Operation and Diagnosis (W111) - 1 lesson
Power Steering Systems assist drivers in steering the vehicle, regardless of their individual strength or size. Through either hydraulic or electric actuators, power steering systems add controlled energy to the vehicle’s steering mechanism. This added energy reduces the effort required by the driver to turn the wheels.

Resolving steering issues can get tricky, but we’ll show you how to service these systems effectively and efficiently. We will be highlighting common concerns with hydraulic power steering systems, and we will outline the operation of various electric steering systems, including those found on:

  • Chevrolet Cruze
  • Ford F-150
  • Ford Escape
  • Hyundai Santa Fe
  • Honda Civic Si

Vehicle Suspension: Location and Components (W120) - 1 lesson
Suspension systems have evolved over the years on front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and all-wheel drive vehicles, with independent front and rear suspension and the introduction of electronic suspension systems. In this lesson, we cover the various suspension systems and their associated components. We will highlight the proper steps for diagnosing these systems, and how the diagnostic process has evolved with the suspension system technology.

Vehicle Suspension: Operation and Diagnosis (W121) - 1 lesson
If all roads were flat with no irregularities, then the vehicle’s suspension system would not be required. Of course, all road surfaces have imperfections that interact with a vehicle’s tires.

The purpose of the vehicle’s suspension system is to provide comfort to the driver and passengers while maximizing the friction between the road and the tires and at the same time deliver steering stability and good vehicle handling characteristics.

Understanding suspension systems and their common issues is essential for today’s technicians. This course will give you a solid foundation on suspension system components and diagnosis.

Vibration Diagnosis (W002) - 1 lesson
This course is designed to introduce technicians on how to repair vibration concerns. This will include using common diagnostic procedures as well as introducing some of the new electronic vibration diagnosing equipment. Diagnosing vibration concerns can be very difficult and frustrating for both the customer and the technician. With the right training, solving these nuisances can create a customer for life.

Wheel Alignment Angles and Adjustment Procedures (W131) - 1 lesson
With the constant introduction of new vehicle designs, wheel alignment procedures and technologies are constantly evolving. Throughout this lesson, we will discuss advanced alignment angles, highlighting when and how to make adjustments. Based on data gathering through inspection, we will learn when to start looking for damaged parts instead of just doing adjustments.
